What Wegovy costs in Northern Ireland
Two providers we list, both based in Northern Ireland, give a Wegovy price at every dose. Their prices are in the table above.
- Evernu, an online clinic in Derry/Londonderry, prices 0.25 mg to 2.4 mg and charges less on a 3, 6 or 12-month plan. It didn't list a price for 7.2 mg.
- McKeevers Chemists in Newry prices every dose up to 7.2 mg for collection from a branch. It adds a £40 prescription fee each time a prescription is issued, and new patients pay £30 for the first consultation. Our figures include both.
The other providers we checked either don't publish Wegovy prices or advertise a starting price without saying which dose it covers. So ask for their price at every dose, and compare the cost over a year rather than the first month.

Wegovy dose steps, including 7.2 mg
Wegovy starts at 0.25 mg once a week and rises every four weeks through 0.5 mg, 1 mg and 1.7 mg to the 2.4 mg maintenance dose from week 17. In January 2026 the MHRA approved a higher 7.2 mg weekly dose for adults with obesity (a BMI of 30 or more). It can be used after at least four weeks on 2.4 mg.
Each step is usually priced separately, and the 7.2 mg dose is likely to cost more than 2.4 mg. Ask about it if you might need it. Read the full dose schedule.
What to ask for when you get a Wegovy quote
- The price at each dose, from 0.25 mg to 2.4 mg, and 7.2 mg if offered
- How many weekly doses each pen or pack covers
- Whether the consultation and follow-up reviews are included
- Whether it delivers to your Northern Ireland postcode, and how it keeps the pens cold
- Whether there's support such as a dietitian or coaching
Then use the total to compare like with like. A low starting price followed by expensive higher doses can cost more over a year.
Is there a Wegovy pill?
Yes. An oral form of semaglutide for weight management was authorised in the UK in 2026. It's taken daily rather than weekly, and it's a private prescription for now. Read our guide to weight loss pills in the UK.
