What we compare
- Price at each dose. The price of a 4-week pen at every dose step. If a provider offers longer plans, we use its price with no minimum term here so prices compare like for like, and show its plan prices on its own page.
- Fees. If a provider charges a prescription or consultation fee on top of the medicine, we add it to its prices and totals so they compare like for like.
- Course cost. What 12 weeks, 24 weeks or a year would cost following the standard dose schedule.
- What the price includes. Consultations, follow-ups and delivery, where the provider says.
- How you're seen. Face to face in Northern Ireland, by video, or through an online consultation.
- Support. Whether a dietitian, nutritionist, health coach or pharmacist supports you alongside the medicine.
- Getting your pens. Delivery, cold-chain packaging, collection, and whether the provider says it serves Northern Ireland.
- Regulation. Which regulator the provider names, such as the PSNI in Northern Ireland or the GPhC in Great Britain.
Where our information comes from
Every fact on a provider listing comes from that provider's own published pages, a price list the provider has sent us, or a named news report, on the date shown on the listing. We link to the sources on each provider page, and say when prices come from a price list rather than a public page.
We don't estimate prices. If a provider doesn't publish a price for a dose, we show "Not published" and leave it out of any total. Medical information in our guides comes from the MHRA, the medicines' official product information (SmPC), NICE, the Department of Health in Northern Ireland and peer-reviewed research, and each guide lists its sources.
How we work out the course cost
Mounjaro and Wegovy pens each hold four weekly doses. The standard schedule starts on the lowest dose and steps up every four weeks. To work out a course cost, we count one pen at each dose step up to the dose you choose, then that dose for the remaining pens. A year is 13 pens (52 weeks).
Some providers charge less per pen if you sign up for a plan with a minimum term. For those, we use the cheapest plan you could finish within the course: up to a 3-month plan for 12 weeks, a 6-month plan for 24 weeks and a 12-month plan for a year. We count each month of a plan as one 4-week payment, because that's how these providers bill, and we use the plan price for every pen in the course. If the first payment is lower, we include that too. Each result says which plan it uses.
If a provider charges a fee each time a prescription is issued, we add it to every pen, because the dose changes with each pen while you step up. Once you're on a steady dose, a provider may cover more than one pen with a prescription, so ask. A one-off fee, such as a first consultation, is added once to the course cost.
Real treatment can differ. A prescriber may keep you on a dose for longer, or you may stay on a lower dose. We only show a total when the provider gives a price for every dose in the course.
What our Northern Ireland labels mean

How results are ordered
This site is for people in Northern Ireland, so the first question is whether a provider can actually treat you here. By default, results are ordered like this:
- Confirmed to serve Northern Ireland. Providers based here, with stores here, or that say on their own site that they deliver across NI come first.
- Lowest cost for the full course at the dose you pick, where the provider publishes a price for every dose.
- Publishes prices. Providers that publish at least a starting price come before those that publish none.
- Name, A to Z, if everything else is equal.
The comparison shows the two groups under separate headings. You can also sort by the price at your dose, the starting price, or by name.
Corrections
Prices change often. If you spot something out of date, or you run a pharmacy or clinic serving Northern Ireland and want to be listed, email hello@weightlossni.co.uk. We recheck the listing against the provider's own pages before changing it.
What we don’t do
We don't prescribe, sell or supply medicines, and nothing on this site is medical advice. Weight loss injections are prescription-only medicines. A registered prescriber decides whether they're right for you.
