The BMI and eligibility checker and the cost calculator work entirely in your browser. What you enter, including your height, weight and health conditions, isn't sent to us, to Google Analytics or anyone else, and isn't stored.

If you pick providers to compare, your browser remembers the list in local storage so it's still there when you come back. It never leaves your device, and you can clear it with the Clear button in the comparison bar or by clearing your browser data.

Your browser also remembers whether you allowed analytics cookies, so we don't ask you on every page.

We'd like to use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people find useful. It only runs if you choose "Allow analytics". Until then, nothing is sent to Google Analytics and no analytics cookies are set.

If you allow it, Google Analytics sets cookies (named _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID) and records the pages you visit, how you arrived, your device and browser, and your approximate location. Google receives your IP address but doesn't store it. It doesn't receive anything you type into our calculators or checkers, because they never put it in the page address. Google processes this data for us under its data processing terms.

You can change your mind at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. If you stop allowing analytics, we turn it off and delete its cookies.

Our fonts are served by Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers when you load a page. When you follow a link to a provider or an official source, that site's own privacy policy applies.
